Lash Extensions Vs. Natural Lashes

They say the eyes are the window to the soul, that must make your lashes the curtains. A hot topic these days is whether or not lash extensions are good for your eyes and eye lashes. A common misconception is that the use of lash extensions is that they dramatically and negatively effect your natural lashes and the eyes… However, that is not entirely the case.

Having a service done near the eye is definitely one of the more delicate areas of the body. ( You can guess which area is the most delicate… Brazilian, anyone? ) That being said, the first thing that you must do when considering lash extensions is research your technician. Meaning? Ask the person with the lashes that you can feel blinking from the other side of the room where they got their lashes done and ask about their technician. Do they offer advice on how to clean your lashes and proper care? Among other things. ( Cleanliness, time management, cancellation policy, and cost ) Another thing that you have to consider when doing lash extension is regular maintainability. Do you sleep on your face? How aggressive are you with your skincare routine? Lash extensions might not be for you. But fear not! There are plenty of mascaras that offer temporary volumizing and lengthening to give that false lash look. Just look for a mascara/eyelash primer duo with fibers, you’ll still get that glam look.
